SECTIONS are interest groups. NASAP members can join one or more. They  are listed below:   ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT: applies Adlerian principles to the workplace by helping individuals, teams, and the overall structure of organizations to move toward healthy patterns of functioning.  Using Goal Directedness, Movement and Conflict Resolution processes, for example, to aid in creating a strategic vision and mission that helps members understand more fully their responsibilities and accountabilities in the workplace. This provides them a stronger sense on belong -ing and significance, which as a result increases commitment and performance to their performance to their positions and organizations. This section blends many practices together in creating a more healthy work environment, increased job satisfaction, and performance for the individual, team, and organization.  For the goals of this section click here. ADLERIAN COUNSELING AND THERAPY: serves and encourages counselors and therapists to balance the equally important needs for optimal development of the individual as well as social responsibility; this is done by networking and sharing Adlerian ways of working with clients and communities.  For the goals of this section click here. EDUCATION: encourages the application of Adlerian psychological theory and techniques to the specific concerns of education. Members are professionals and non-professional in the field of education. Our members include; teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, administrators, professors and parents dedicated to promoting Adlerian principles as best practice in their perspective school environments. Our goals include the sharing and exchange of information, research, and ongoing successful experiences using these best practices in classrooms throughout North America through the NASAP newsletter as well as presentations and demonstrations at the annual NASAP conference. We encourage our members to contribute their knowledge and their experiences in these efforts by submitting articles and/or videos to the section representatives regularly. FAMILY EDUCATION: applies Adlerian principles to the home.  Members are professionals and nonprofessionals dedicated to understanding and improving family relationships between children and adults, within couples, and among individuals. Our purpose is "to create a forum and network for exchanging ideas, materials and resources related to Adlerian Family Education; to reduce isolation and discouragement among individuals and small groups who do not have access to on-going community support;  to encourage the development of increasingly effective methods for the research, collection and dissemination of information related to Family Education; and to support and highlight the work already in existence in Family Education."  For the goals of this section click here. PROFESSIONAL CLINICIANS: connects members to each other via a list serve.  This will prove them with an opportunity to connect to, participate and to contribute in a professional dialogue with their fellow Adlerian Clinical Section members.  A newsletter and tap talk are being planned.For the goals of this section click here.   THEORY AND RESEARCH: promotes teaching and research on Adlerian topics in psychology, education and related fields; fosters the presentation of such research; promotes discussion regarding theoretical issues.
